Getting around

Compare Qinhuangdao, Beidaihe and Shanhaiguan stations against your first and final sightseeing areas. They are different places, not interchangeable station names. Qinhuangdao Beidaihe Airport is the civil airport; arrange its actual ground transfer to the selected district. Use current maps and operator information for cross-district road travel, and keep the western Golden Coast outing separate from the eastern Great Wall day.

1. Day 1

   Use Shanhaiguan arrival if it fits your train itinerary, or arrange a deliberate road transfer. Keep a meal and return buffer. A mountain-wall climb should not be squeezed after several closing-time-sensitive interiors.

2. Day 2

   Make this a coast day with optional dawn light at Dove Nest, a relaxed Tiger Rocks shore visit and an afternoon park or market stop. The source includes Biluota at night; add it only with energy and a current ticketed programme that interests you. For an unhurried seaside stay, use the dedicated Beidaihe guide and keep two days there.

   Arrange dawn transport in advance and rest at midday. Confirm beach conditions, actual evening opening and the return to your chosen district. Avoid scheduling every named park as a mandatory admission.

3. Day 3

   The source’s third day pairs Golden Coast with Emerald Island. Emerald Island’s tourism facilities were officially withdrawn from the nature-reserve area, so it is excluded from the visitor route. Keep a currently open west-coast beach or leisure area, or choose a lower-transfer Haigang day around Qinhuangdao Museum and a permitted port/coast walk instead.

   Verify the exact public entrance or operating attraction on the west coast; Golden Coast is an area, not one universal ticket. Never use old Emerald Island directions or informal tracks. Match the final transfer to your actual departure terminal.

Independent two-day city-coast outline

The PDF’s shorter route combines eastern heritage and a western coast day. It is more transfer-heavy than a single-district visit.

1. Day 1

   Combine a Beidaihe morning with one confirmed west-coast destination only if transport works; otherwise finish in Beidaihe. This is a route choice, not a promise to visit every area.
