Visa-free entry is not the same policy as 240-hour visa-free transit. Border authorities make the final admission decision.
1
What to check
- Your passport nationality and passport type.
- The permitted purpose and maximum stay for your specific arrangement.
- Whether the policy remains effective on the date you will enter.
2
What it normally covers
- Tourism, business, family or friend visits, exchanges and transit are listed for the unilateral policy.
- Work, study and activities requiring prior approval are not covered by a tourist-style exemption.
- The duration is calculated under the official policy, not by counting hotel nights.
3
Prepare even when visa-free
- Carry an onward or return plan and confirmed accommodation details.
- Complete the arrival card when required.
- Keep the official policy page available offline in case you need to explain the rule at check-in.
